YouTuber Sam Pepper (youtube.com/Sam) has been under fire recently by social media users finally having enough of his “pranks” and taking action on his latest video going around a groping unsuspecting women. The video was removed by YT with attention growing on it and more people reporting the video depicting sexual assault. Today Sam uploaded a video of the same title and premises only it was a female taking part in the unsolicited touching of men. In both videos the prank goes the same way and all victims are very uncomfortable with what is going on.
I’m positive Sam Pepper is aware of the backlash occurring from his video and uploaded the second today but also in the title it noted ‘Part 2 of 3’ from this he either doesn’t care or is playing the game and going to have part 3 be a video of him talking about double standards thinking it’s okay for women to harass men but not the other way around. Thankfully the community standing up against Sam Pepper’s “pranks” are not Falling for it and are still holding ground against him and the video.
Another point is that he sees what he has done and is going to change the perspective of what has happened and now part 3 will be a video of him NOT apologizing but working his way around it and to make the ordeal be a “social experiment” and will try to prove something about sexual harassment. Either I don’t expect an apology. Being in the spotlight like this and negativity towards your “fame” turns it into a game of politics and I see Sam not apologizing but merely attempting to shift the views towards him so he doesn’t seem like the bad guy.
Anyways I just wanted to say my thoughts on the matter whether they are heard or not. (:
